Dr. Carolyn Gimble
Veterinarian

Dr. Gimble has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a little girl. After working for ten years as a kennel assistant, veterinary assistant and veterinary technician (including time here at Willowdale in 2002-2003 while in highschool), she decided to pursue her career as a veterinarian. She attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate studies and graduated in 2007 with a BS in animal science. She completed veterinary school at Oklahoma State University in 2014. She rejoined Willowdale as a veterinarian in 2016. Dr. Gimble loves all animals big and small! She has three dogs, six cats, five horses and a bird! She shares these companions with her husband and daughters on a small farm where her free time is often spent outdoors fishing and gardening. She also loves a lengthy trail ride, a trip to any Florida springs and a good Gator football game. Go Gators!

Dr. Jean Otte
Veterinarian

Greetings/Aloha! I’m Dr. Jean Otte. I practice small animal medicine here. I love my job so I’m here most of the time! I enjoy riding and showing my paint horses, baseball (I sponsored the Jacksonville Indians) and spending time with my two grown sons (1 Seminole and 1 Gator) and grandchildren. I grew up on a farm in Iowa and have veterinary experience with racing Greyhound dogs and racing Thoroughbred horses. Stop in! I’d love to meet you!

Dr. Linda O’Donnell
Veterinarian

Dr. O’Donnell founded the Willowdale Veterinary Center in 1988, naming the practice after her hometown in Ontario, Canada. In 2001, she sold the business to Dr. Otte so that she and her husband Bob, a retired Jacksonville Sheriff Officer, could have time to build their own house. Dr. O’ Donnell continues to serve her patients as a veterinarian and enjoys gardening and cooking in her spare time.

Dr. Nicole Spicer
Veterinarian

Dr. Nicole Spicer is a Florida native and became a member of the Willowdale Veterinary Center family in 2005. She completed her bachelor’s degree in animal science at the University of Florida and graduated from the University Of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Go Gators! Her professional interests include medicine and dermatology, with a particular interest in feline medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, especially in the Caribbean, scuba diving and photography.
